Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - Three great ways YOU can eliminate waste and protect your environment! 

The City has several recycling drop-off centers where residents can take other recyclables in addition to items collected curbside. 

Location of Drop-Off Centers

• 707 S Main Street (Recycling Center
• 404 W 17th Street (Old Corbin Intermediate School)
• 100 One Pennington Way (Eastern Kentucky University Campus)
• In front of Norvex

We house an industrial shredder that can shred any paper, DVD, CD, or confidential files. You can view your confidential items being shredded to insure confidentiality. 

Accepted Recyclable Items:

• Plastics No. 1, 2 and 5. (Please be sure to rinse all containers)
• Mixed paper and newspaper. 
• Cardboard
• Cans (Please be sure to rinse all containers)

We Can Not Accept:

• All soft plastics
• No plastic bags of any kind
• Styrofoam 
• Non-rinsed Cans
• Glass
• Electronics
• Oil or fuel containers including cooking oils
• Paper plates or cups
