The City of Corbin obtained a $200,000 grant from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to prepare a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action Plan to reduce the occurrence of serious accidents and fatalities in our community. The Action Plan is being developed by a private consultant with assistance from City staff, the Cumberland Valley Area Development District (CVADD), and a steering committee made up of representatives from the City Commission, administration, and city departments involved in safety issues.
This project will focus the City’s safety efforts on the identification of high-impact projects that will reduce injuries and save lives. As part of this Action Plan the City requests input from residents regarding safety concerns that pose risks to drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists. If you can provide information on these issues, please email us at [email protected] or call the City Clerk at (606) 528-0669.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
